A weekly show on music, comprised of three parts. 1) Discuss it: Each week I'll take a look at music-from its history and earliest beginnings; to some of it's great artists and songwriters; to the music industry of today (revenues, trends, and consumption). 2) Play it: Each week, I'll play one of my acoustic country songs. 3) Tell a Story: Each week we'll follow a fictional story of a musician who rises from obscurity to stardom.
Paul Ryan
Discuss Music: Number two on the all-time unit sales list is country legend Garth Brooks. I will take an in-depth look at his music, songwriting and other factors that makes him so successful.
Play a Song: The song for today is Seabird. It's a song I wrote while on the beach near San Diego. One gull that day was strutting around, and the other birds simply ignored him (or her).
Tell a Story: In our story, Brittany is at a crossroads in her life. After years of studying, and building toward a career, she thinks a change might be in order.
