We at SoundPower are all for empirically proven ‘facts’ re the power of sound, but historically many skeptics are proved wrong as the sum of human knowledge increases… in other words, “we don’t know what we don’t know.”
Every person has intuition and confirmation bias, yet advancement also needs testable theories. There are leaders and followers, but we must test any claims about sound’s healing to validate solid theories and weed out the rest.
We want this podcast to advance human knowledge for the good of all, bring us closer, and resist division. Bring it on!
We close season one with Plumes, the viral musician who plays his pink guitar to animals all around the world. Plumes visits sanctuaries and natural spaces, honouring their emotional awareness, and drawing attention to animal welfare.
These simple, heartwarming encounters have resonated widely, attracting 1.8 million followers on Instagram, reminding us that music can be a sacred meeting place, not just a performance.
Plumes talks to us about making music without expectation, listening as much as playing, and what it means to connect across species through sound.

So yeah, there's plenty of things to learn about them. And as a kid, I remember when I first started playing the flute, I was white outside once playing. […]
