[…] Well, you use the word de-escalate. That's what we have to do. So we teach our deputies how to de-escalate situations. And that's from the tone of your voice, your body language, just everything. Your whole demeanor when you come in these. You know, if you go in there and you throw gasoline on a fire, then, you know, we're going to have that. So we try to do the opposite. Convoys. And you try to separate the parties. Try to get them separated. So usually... I say almost all the time on a domestic cause, at least two deputies respond. So you separate them and then you start listening. But you also talk to witnesses. […]
