Season 6, Episode 64: Interview with Laura Abramsen (Lady) from “Stake Land II: The Stakelander” (2016)
Today, we are diving headfirst back into the apocalypse, and we’ve got a guest who is the ultimate survival goal. If society collapses tomorrow, this is the exact person you want in your corner. Joining us is the brilliant and talented Laura Abramsen, who played Lady in Stake Land II: The Stakelander. Laura managed to completely steal the spotlight without saying a single word—a skill I desperately wish I had, considering how much I talk for a living!
Stake Land II is one of my absolute favorite go-to vampire movies, and it was an honor to sit down with Laura to break down this underrated gem.
In this episode, we discuss:
• The Power of Silence: How Laura mastered a completely non-verbal role using animalistic mannerisms.
• Survival Prep: How the gritty, post-apocalyptic world shaped her physical preparation.
• Channeling the Beast: How she captured and sustained Lady's raw, untamed energy.
• The Surrogate Bond: An inside look at the deep connection between her character and Mister.
Honestly, if the world ends tomorrow, I’m just going to scream her name into the void and hope she shows up to save me.

Season 6, Episode 63: Exclusive First Interview with Candi Marie (Kandy) from “What Happened to Doris?” (2026)
Welcome back everyone. Today, we are diving deep into the world of supernatural horror with a guest who is making waves both in front of and behind the camera. She is a powerhouse actress, producer, and the founder of the production company s.h.e's creative.
She stars in the highly anticipated supernatural horror film What Happened to Doris?, which powerfully reimagines the infamous 1974 Doris Bither case. Playing the role of Kandy—the fierce, loyal ally who refuses to let her friend's terrifying cries for help go unheard—she delivers a standout performance that anchors the movie's themes of female solidarity and belief.
It was an absolute honor, delight, and pleasure to sit down with Candi Marie in this very meaningful and deep interview to get to know her and her role in this film. She explained how stepping into this role where she is not only the catalyst for getting Doris the help she needs, but also the face of an unbelievable true friend who is anchored win real-world trauma. If I had a friend like Kandy, she would definitely be my ride-or-die partner in crime.
A colossal thank you to Candi, for giving us such a wonderful look into her process, her work on set alongside Heather Graham, and how she actively used her voice to champion powerful, empathetic storytelling in the industry.
Make sure to catch Candi Marie as Kandy in What Happened to Doris?, out now. You can also follow her journey and see her upcoming projects through her production banner, s.h.e's creative.
