About South Ridge Church FXBG

Listen here to the most recent and relevent messages from South Ridge Church. -- In 2016, Jeff and Jenny Geyer dreamed of starting a different kind of church for their community. A church where people can belong before believing. A church where people cannot wait to bring their friends. A church where next steps are clear and simple. A church where people willingly invest their money to make that type of church happen. What began with two adults grew to sixteen adults in a Chick-fil-A. Together and committed, God began to shape and grow their dream into South Ridge, a church in southern Stafford County with the mission to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus. We want each community beyond the greater Fredericksburg area to experience what we are experiencing: a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same hope.

   Whose Side Are You On?

It's easy to follow Jesus when He agrees with us. The real test comes when His kingdom challenges our politics, our tribe, our assumptions, or even our preferred vision for the world. Jesus doesn't belong to our political party, our cultural movement, or our national identity—we belong to Him. When Jesus disagrees with our side, will we still choose His?

   Fight Without Becoming The Fight

Following Jesus doesn't mean becoming silent when culture gets something wrong. Christian courage, however, isn't measured by how loudly we fight. We're called to speak truth with grace, disagree without dehumanizing, and remain kind without becoming fearful. In a political season where everyone seems to want us to pick a tribe, can we be bold enough to tell the truth and enough like Jesus to love the person who disagrees?

   The Family We're Building

Culture tells us marriage is about finding someone who completes us and parenting is about raising successful, happy kids. Following Jesus doesn't just change what we believe about family—it changes how we behave inside it. What would change in your family if Jesus—not culture, comfort, or convenience—set the tone?
