About Southern Hospitality for Beginners

The American South has experienced rapid growth and change in recent years, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic, with an influx of Northerners, Midwesterners, and Westerners moving to cities with warmer climates and more affordable housing markets. This podcast aims to discuss how the South is adapting to that change while still trying to hold on to its uniquely charming and slow way of life that has defined the region for decades. Does Southern hospitality still exist? Do Southerners still wave from their front porches? Do they still drink sweet tea? Do they bring treats to new neighbors? Is the South hospitable enough to welcome outsiders? More importantly, who can say "y'all"? We answer these questions and more on Southern Hospitality for Beginners, featuring commentary from true Southerners and outsiders alike.
