Dan discusses the theological connection between sexual immorality and the fundamental rejection of God, drawing primarily from 1 Thessalonians 4 and Romans 1. He argues that all sin stems from idolatry, where humanity suppresses the truth of God's creation to falsify His nature and serve the creature rather than the Creator. This exchange leads to moral decay and divine judgment, emphasizing that the Lord Jesus acts as the avenger of such unrighteousness. He concludes that true deliverance from sin is found not merely in behavioral modification but in restoring proper worship to God through Christ, who offers justification and sanctification by the Spirit.

Called to Repent of Robbing God
The sermon examines Malachi 3 to expose Israel's discontent and their accusation that God was unjust, highlighting how withholding tithes constituted robbing Him. It explains the Old Testament context where tithing served as an act of worship and provision for the poor under the Mosaic Covenant. The preacher contrasts this legal requirement with New Testament principles, emphasizing that giving is motivated by grace rather than obligation. Key passages from Luke, Corinthians, and Timothy illustrate that believers should give freely, cheerfully, and according to their heart's purpose. Ultimately, the message calls for repentance from stinginess and encourages joyful generosity rooted in the assurance of God's abundant provision.

1 Thess Chapter4, Part 1
Dan explores the call to sanctification found in 1 Thessalonians 4, emphasizing that the Christian life is defined by a continuous growth in holiness and the desire to please God. It contrasts true obedience motivated by love for God with mere moralism focused on rules, highlighting sexual purity as a primary area of practical application. The preacher explains that believers must possess their bodies in honor, rejecting the lustful patterns of the surrounding culture. This pursuit of holiness is rooted in the authority of Jesus Christ and serves as evidence of a transformed heart dedicated to God's interests. Ultimately, the message offers hope that God actively works within believers to perfect their faith and conform them to His image.
