SGC is a church in Bradford, ON committed to the proclamation, celebration, and application of the gospel. We open the Bible week-by-week and receive teaching from its precious pages. Through expository preaching, we focus on sound doctrine and the implications of the gospel for our lives.
In this third sermon on Romans 13:1-7 and the topic of the Christian's relationship to the government, Pastor Josh draws on several biblical passages to inform our views on submission, disobedience, and resistance to unjust laws and decrees. He concludes by reminding us that it is ultimately the gospel that must shape our response to both just and unjust governments.

The Evangelistic God
In the concluding verses of Romans 10, the Apostle Paul helps us see that the Christian's evangelistic motivation and effort must be fueled by belief in the evangelistic heart of God. While Romans 9 taught us that God is sovereign over salvation, Romans 10 rounds this this out by reminding us that God desires all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Listen as Pastor Josh explains.
