Space for Faith Episode 14 - A Regular Person Confronts the UFO Question | Faith, Doubt & the Unknown
In this episode of Space for Faith, Matt sits down with childhood friend, Daniel, for an honest conversation about unidentified anomalous phenomena, skepticism, and how ordinary people process extraordinary claims. Daniel does not approach the topic as a researcher, theologian, or UFO enthusiast. Instead, he brings the perspective of a thoughtful, everyday person who remains somewhat agnostic on the subject and is still trying to determine what to make of it all. This episode is less about claiming certainty and more about exploring how regular people wrestle with questions that once seemed confined to science fiction. If you’ve ever wondered how these conversations sound outside expert circles, this episode is for you. Thank you for listening to Space for Faith. Please consider liking, subscribing, and sharing the podcast with others who are navigating faith in an age of uncertainty.

Space for Faith Episode 13 - Abductions & Belief: Can Faith Survive the UFO Phenomenon?
What happens when the phenomenon of UFOs and abduction experiences collides with deeply held religious belief? In Episode 13 of Space for Faith, I sit down with author J.L. Thompson to explore one of the most unsettling—and fascinating—questions of our time: What are these encounters, and what do they mean for faith? Drawing from his work in Worlds Without Number, Thompson shares his research into abduction accounts, the patterns behind them, and the deeper implications they may carry. Are these purely physical events… psychological experiences… or something spiritual? We explore: Common elements reported in abduction experiences The emotional and existential impact on experiencers How these encounters challenge—or reshape—belief in God Whether there is a deeper spiritual framework behind the phenomenon This is not just a discussion about UFOs. It’s a conversation about reality, fear, meaning—and where faith fits into all of it. If you’ve ever wondered how to reconcile the unexplained with belief in God, this episode will challenge you to think more deeply.
