#16 - On my desk with Mathilde: Design = No Limits

Hi everyone, welcome to this third episode of on my desk. The last month we had the colorful Halftime show from Bad Bunny. One year after the release of his album DeBI TiRAR MaS FOToS, I am talking to you about the Monobloc chairs. The main element of his album cover. And how a single detail, can be more than that. A short episode that will (I hope) make you want to listen to this album again and bring a little bite of sun in Luzern. The subject come from an article from the FORMAE Magazin (n° 07, April / June 2025) written by Juliette Sebille: https://formaemagazine.com/fr/articles/la-chaise-monobloc (https://formaemagazine.com/fr/articles/la-chaise-monobloc) And I informed myself on the Vitra Museum website: https://collectiononline.design-museum.de/#/en/object/40498?_k=bfmjps (https://collectiononline.design-museum.de/#/en/object/40498?_k=bfmjps) I wish you a good listening Mathilde

Hi! I hope you enjoyed the first episode. Thank you to those who sent me some feedback. For this second episode, I present to you the magazine INTRAMUROS. (It is a bilingual magazine, French/English.) I have had the issues on my desk for a few years now, and I've discovered a lot of things about many domains in design, architecture, and even mixology. Through the visions of new designers and artists, I've learned about my generation and my place in design. If you want to subscribe to Intramuros, here is the link (for students): https://shop.intramuros.fr/en/products/abonnement-etudiant-1-an?variant=47249110958422 (https://shop.intramuros.fr/en/products/abonnement-etudiant-1-an?variant=47249110958422%E2%81%A0) You can also buy the digital version of the January 2026 issue:https://shop.intramuros.fr/products/intramuros-n-226 (https://shop.intramuros.fr/products/intramuros-n-226) I hope you enjoy this new episode and that it makes you want to read the magazine and maybe subscribe to it. #13 On my desk with Mathilde Geiller: What Is a Designer?

Welcome to the first edition of On My Desk, the brand-new Spatial Design podcast. I’m Mathilde, your host for the show. My goal is to introduce you to new things (books, films, podcasts, etc.) that are always related to the themes of spatial design. In this first episode, I’m going to talk about a book that has been on my desk since the beginning of the year. What is a Designer: Objects, Places and Messages by Norman Potter. I have read it three times: once before my preparation class, once after, and once at the beginning of my Bachelor's degree in Spatial Design. This book covers all types of design practice (graphic design, object design and architecture). With concrete examples, it answers certain questions that I have asked myself since the beginning of my studies. Here is the link to the book on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1650837.What_Is_a_Designer (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1650837.What_Is_a_Designer) Here is the link to rent it at the library (HSLU DFK): https://rzs.swisscovery.slsp.ch/discovery/fulldisplay?docid=alma993346600105505&context=L&v… (https://rzs.swisscovery.slsp.ch/discovery/fulldisplay?docid=alma993346600105505&context=L&vid=41SLSP_RZS:VU06&lang=de&search_scope=MyInst_and_CI&adaptor=Local%20Search%20Engine&tab=41SLSP_RZS_MyInst_and_CI&query=any,contains,norman%20potter&offset=0) I hope you are going to enjoy this new series, and that I will make you want to read the book. And if you have any feedback… or a recommendation for the next Months, here is my Instagram: @mathil.design And Spatial Design’s Instagram account @hslu_spatialdesign Have a great listening and… maybe reading. #7 Sonja Geier - Dozentin & Forscherin CCTP HSLU T&A
