   17. Spider-Man: Brand New Day | Greta Gerwig’s Narnia Getting Wide Netflix Theatrical Release

First I talk about my most hyped movie of the summer: Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to heighten the MCU Spidey franchise as a practical, street level film finally giving us the poor, depressed, lonely Spider-Man we’ve been craving for a decade 🤣. Also: why I’m apparently the only guy on the internet that doesn’t buy the X-Men theory about this movie. Second, Netflix shocks by giving Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Narnia film not only a wide, mass theatrical release (a first in Netflix history) but a full 55-day EXCLUSIVE theatrical window. Is this a one-off, or a signal they’re finally coming to their senses and embracing theatrical? Courts CANCEL AB Separatist Referendum | Vice CA Drug Smuggling Ring Film Adaptation

In some breaking news, an Alberta court has ordered that the upcoming separatist referendum cannot go ahead due to the failure to even attempt consulting with First Nations (on top of the legal issues surrounding the leak of the entire voter list, exposing the personal information of most Albertans, and creating the risk that a significant number of petition signatures for the referendum could be forged). An update on Ontario Liberal leadership hopeful Nate Erskine Smith, as he is now officially appealing the results of the Scarborough-Southwest byelection due to serious allegations of irregularities, vote buying, and interference from the party establishment (most notably 34 ballots that were apparently not counted, in a race won by only 19 votes). Canadian director Matt Johnson (Nirvana: The Band: The Show: The Movie, BlackBerry) is set to direct a movie based on the insane true story of the Vice Canada editor who recruited drug mules out of the office for an international cocaine smuggling ring. Another liberal leadership candidate is turning heads by calling for mass deportations of nearly ALL temporary residents in Canada Patreon.com/specialinterest YouTube.com/@specialinterest7

Zionists Outraged CRA Enforcing Charity Law | Carney Wants STRONGER Integration with US?!!

There’s a bizarre controversy as pro-Israel groups, including Liberal MP Anthony Housefather, the National Post, and even the Israeli consul general, have been attacking the Canada revenue agency for investigating certain Zionist & Jewish charitable organizations (including revoking the charitable status of at least 8 over the last 2 years) because of their violations of Canadian Charity and Tax Law (most notably due to their funding of the Israeli military as it commits war crimes in Gaza & Iran). Responding (as an autistic) to a Trevor Noah clip about how ADHDer’s enjoy arguing, In an interview, George Strombolopolous talks about Stephen Harper supporting the Iraq war, and references how Prime Minister Mark Carney recently told him he was right when he suggested in 2008 that Canada should try to make itself less connected and reliant on the US economically. The Canadian government may pursue a permanent ban on smoking for all Canadians born after 2008. 14. Gillis Calls Out Zionists at Netflix Roast | Alleged OLP vote rigging

Shane Gillis is going viral for a joke calling out comedian Chelsea Handler for being a Zionist at the Netflix roast of Kevin Hart, which she surprisingly denied (despite being a VERY well documented liberal Zionist). Likely Liberal leadership candidate Nate Erskine Smith is challenging the results of the Ontario byelection in Scarborough-Southwest (which he seemingly lost to a Domino Pizza owner), amid allegations of irregularities, bussed in voters casting ballots without ID’s, and a coordinated campaign against him by the provincial party leadership trying to crush his leadership bid before it even starts, preventing a more progressive Liberal from taking the helm of the party

   11. Alberta Separatists Dox Most of Alberta, Onion Launches Infowars Parody

Episode was cut short because of time, but I was able to cover two stories: 1. The massive scandal unfolding in Alberta where a separatist group illegally leaked the entire Voter list, exposing the private information of all 3 million albertans (most of the province’s population) to potential scammers, abusers, and unhinged political actors 2. 10. She-Hulk S2? McConaughey is a Christian Nationalist | The Boys S5 | Libs embrace far-right MP

I react to Matthew McConaughey outing himself as an apparent Christian nationalist while talking about how the US should have the Ten Commandments in schools, Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum has confirmed that, despite the supposed hate, She-Hulk was one of their best performing shows . The Boys season 5 is great so far, but I’m not sure how I feel about THAT decision with Kimiko (SPOILERS for 5x01)

   9. Daredevil ACAB?, Jubilee Neo-Nazi is Canadian, Seth Rogen Returns with Hollywood Satire

In this audio version of my livestream on twitch, I discuss: 00:23 - according to Deadline, 'Stranger Things' actress Sadie Sink has been cast as the new female lead and co-star of Tom Holland in Marvel Studios' Spider-Man 4, seemingly disproving rumours that she would play Jean Grey in the upcoming x-men film, but leading to new ones that she would somehow be playing a version of mary jane, despite Zendaya already portraying the MCU's take on the character. 15:25 - After the repeated misgendering and harassment of Sarah McBride, the first trans congresswoman in the united states house of representatives by republican colleagues, one of her democratic colleagues finally decided to stand up for her and demand that a republican committee chair who introduced her as "mr. mcbride" show her the respect and dignity she deserves. instead, the chair chose to end the meeting before it even began. 21:42 - a far-right political activist and commentator who participated in a Jubilee debate with progressive commentator, comedian, and host of the Majority Report, Sam Seder, and who made headlines by arguing in favour of what she described as "xenophobic nationalism" and the dominance & assimilation of European Christian culture over ethnic and religious minorities in the united states turns out to actually be a Canadian immigrant who used to work for Ezra Levant's far-right Rebel Media, whose alums also include Faith Goldy, Gavin Mcinnes & former tradwife Lauren Southern. 43:40 - Seth Rogen returns to the front of the camera with his new Apple TV+ show "The Studio", a comedy satirizing the hollywood film industry starring rogen as a lifelong movie fan who becomes head of a major film studio, and featuring cameos from stars like catherine o'hara, kathryn hahn, adam scott, martin scorsese, and others, undoubtedly drawing on Rogen's long experience in the hollywood system. hopefully Jay Baruchel pops up as well! 01:01:02 - Daredevil: Born Again episode three: is the show actually doing an ACAB show criticizing the police at a structural level, through incorporating the real-world use of the punisher logo and ethos by some police officers? tags: politics, american politics, queer rights, LGBT rights, transphobia, transgender, canadian, canadian politics, canadian podcasts

    8. Indigenous Resistance & The Haka Protest in NZ Parliament

In this episode I discuss the now viral protest in the New Zealand Parliament by indigenous Māori MP’s. Led by Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke, members primarily belonging to the Te Pati Māori party used the Haka, a traditional dance, to express their outrage at the far-right ACT New Zealand’s ‘Treaty Principles Bill’, which seems to extinguish indigenous rights in the country by redefining the country’s foundational Treaty of Waitangi as actually affording indigenous rights to all citizens of New Zealand/Aotearoa, in contradiction to how the treaty has been interpreted for the entirety of the country’s history. 6. UN workers tortured, Cons obsess over Sidney Sweeney’s Boobs, Canada Sued Over Israel Exports,

The national post is sure Wokeness is dying because Sidney Sweeney has breasts, leftist & anti-war icon George Galloway is re-elected to the British Parliament, a coalition of Palestinian-Canadians & human rights lawyers are suing the Trudeau government over its military exports to Israel (which it claims aren’t weapons?!), and Israeli authorities reportedly tortured UN workers to extract false confessions to terrorism.

    4. Anti-LGBTQ Politics In Canada, Racist Town Ignores Democracy, Liberals’ Bail Reform is Pointless

0:03:04 - Ontario town bans Pride flag, allegedly controlled by right-wing church. 0:24:03 - black-majority town in Alabama hasn’t held elections in 60 years, and its white town council blocks its first legally elected mayor from taking office. 0:34:57 New Brunswick Premier rolls back protections for Trans students and embraces American-style culture war politics, leading to major pushback from within his own party. 0:59:43 Federal liberals pushing bill to restrict access to bail to reduce crime, despite no evidence of any link between lenient bail & crime.

    2. Ontario Strips Workers of Labour Rights

This week the right-wing Ford government of Ontario passed draconian legislation to ban CUPE members from striking, and impose a one-sided contract on them, using the controversial notwithstanding clause to override constitutional protections. I’ll talk about what led to this, what the union was & is demanding & why, the response from the opposition NDP, and what the federal government could do about it

    1. US Democracy Is Under Attack. Is Canada Next?

With the midterms approaching and a record number of election numbers on the ballot, while targeted intimidation of election officials & political violence is on the rise, it’s clearer than ever that the far-right movement in our neighbour to the south threatens the future of the world’s oldest liberal democracy. With Canada experiencing its own rise in right-wing extremism, could that same movement and anti-democratic sentiment find its way north and take over the establishment of the Conservative Party the way it has the Republicans?
