চলুন ঘুরে আসি আরব সাগরের তীরে সাজানো সুন্দর এক শহর, কান্নুর থেকে! যা এখন সকলের কাছে অতটা সুপরিচিত না হলেও একটা সময় এর গুরুত্ব ছিল অপরিসীম! কারণ এই শহরের বন্দর দিয়ে আরব ও ইউরোপীয় দেশগুলোর সাথে প্রচুর পরিমাণে মশলা ও কাপড়ের ব্যবসা চলত!
একটা সময় অব্দি এই জায়গাটি পরিচিত ছিল ইংরেজদের দেওয়ার নাম Cannanore নামে এছাড়াও আরবরা একে বলতো Kannanur আর পর্তুগিজরা নাম দিয়েছিলেন Cananor বোঝা যাচ্ছে ঐতিহাসিক দিক থেকে এই জায়গাটির গুরুত্ব ছিল অপরিসীম!
তবে আজকের কান্নুর তার নয়নাভিরাম সমুদ্র সৈকত , লাইটহাউস , দুর্গ আর সুস্বাদু খাবারের পসরা নিয়ে অপেক্ষা করে আছে আপনার অফবিট বীচ ভ্যাকেশনে জন্য!
