I knew that when I ingested alcohol, that I could not control what I did or what I said. And I knew that being raised in a certain 12 step program, I knew where to go. I knew where to go. Alcoholism runs very strongly on both sides of my family. So I asked my mother and grandmother to take me to a 12-step meeting.
