Lara Williams - Life After A Life-Altering Diagnosis

Lara Williams shares her journey as a mother following the birth of her third daughter, Bonnie, who was diagnosed with STXBP1—a rare neurological condition causing epilepsy, developmental delays, and motor impairments. Lara is now boldly speaking up for disability carers for children with life-altering diagnoses. Drawing from her lived experience, Lara aims to advocate for disability carers through her initiatives, including hosted retreats, a planned therapy centre model, and a future charity to support parents and bring "the invisible into the visible". In this episode, we discuss: Shift in Perspective on Pain: Rather than viewing the diagnosis as a punishment or falling into endless grief, Lara chose to surrender control, embrace every day as a blessing, and approach her circumstances through a lens of love and unconditional acceptance. Systemic Gaps in Carer Support: The significant shortcomings in public and institutional systems that default to placing the entire burden of care on parents without providing sufficient resources, empathy, or practical support. Invisible Grief: Lara addresses the unacknowledged grief carers experience regarding missed rites of passage, such as typical school orientations, and the social isolation that comes with caring for a child with complex needs. About Lara Lara is a mother, Advanced Intuitive Teacher and Founder of Attuned Caring. She is here to help those caring for children with life altering diagnosis to discover their life purpose and bridge the gap between their physical and metaphysical worlds, so they can remain grounded and steadfast on a chaotic and uncertain path. As a self-proclaimed student of life, she has spent her years devoted to learning from and serving some of the most vulnerable souls within our community, our children. Lara worked in Child Protection for over a decade before embarking on her journey to become a Trauma-Informed Embodiment Coach. She uses her God-conscious awareness, innate intuition, and her training and experience to journey beyond the physical realm and unveil the Sacred Blueprint between parent and child. Since becoming a mother to three spirited girls, her own journey of discovery has accelerated. Especially since her youngest daughter, Bonnie was born with a rare genetic mutation, igniting Lara with even more passion to live a full, abundant and sacred life. Lara lives in Hervey Bay, Queensland with her husband David and their three girls. Whilst Lara is adept in her field at connecting parents and children together on the deepest level, she also is magnetic and humorous in her delivery. She is known to seek joy in every moment, finding magic in the Mum-dane, all the while knowing her service is her medicine. Laura Kosak - The Age of the Silicon Empath: How to Benefit from AI Without Losing What Matters

Laura Kosak returns to the podcast on the eve of the launch of her book, The Age of the Silicon Empath: How to Benefit from AI Without Losing What Matters. In this episode, we discuss: The Concept of the "Silicon Empath", a term coined by Laura describing how AI offers a simulated form of empathy, balancing what the technology can and cannot perform. The Role of Mortality: True empathy and relational dynamics are grounded in the organic human body and the shared experience of mortality. Because AI faces no threat to life and does not die, it cannot truly experience or share human empathy. Idealised Relationships and Risks The "Idealised Parent" Projection: Users of AI often project an "idealised parent" image onto AI—seeking an entity that is perpetually available, attentive, non-judgmental, and entirely focused on them. AI relationships are entirely one-sided; the machine asks for nothing in return and has no needs of its own. Therapeutic Potential: AI companions offer opportunities for personal support, growth, and self-reflection, making assistance accessible to those who cannot or do not need to see a human therapist. About Laura Laura Kosak is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of clinical experience. She holds an MA in Clinical Psychology from Alliant University and has completed rigorous postgraduate studies in the field. Prior to opening her private practice in 2021, Laura served as an in-house therapist in several schools. She currently works with adults, couples, and families. She is an expert on the impact of AI use on individuals and their relationships. She offers psychotherapy and coaching in both English and Spanish. Laura is certified in EMDR and Level 2 trained in IFS. She uses a blend of both, alongside multiple somatic practices, to help her clients release old beliefs and experiences to step into the lives they want. She authored a chapter on a spiritually-anchored approach to transformative healing in the edited book IFS-Informed EMDR Therapy: Collaborative and Creative Approaches. Laura is the author of the forthcoming book Your Guide to AI Companions: Straight talk from a therapist. Laura is a graduate of the Level 2 Trainer program. She employs the theory and practices she learned at the Institute to support her clients on their journeys. Laura lives with her husband in the hills of Southern Oregon, USA, surrounded by trees, birds, deer, and the occasional black bear. She is the founder of Know ThySelf Counselling and her coaching practice The Crossliminal Way®. She writes on the intersection of AI and therapy at Crossliminal Minds (Substack: @laurakosak). Barbara Amrita - Creating Your Intuition Dictionary

In this episode, I am joined by Barbara Amrita, an intuition coach based in Switzerland. In addition to being fluent in six languages, Barbara is dedicated to supporting people in developing their unique intuitive language. Barbara shares that for her, intuition is an innate guidance system that everyone is born with, though people are often trained out of it as they grow up in a world that values the rational mind. Barbara shares her most potent tools to increase access to intuition and guides us in a profound practice to open our intuitive capacities. In this episode, we discuss: Intuition vs. Spirituality: not all intuitives are necessarily spiritual Embracing Humanness and Darkness: overcoming the idea that intuition is a bypass to our shadows The Dual Qualities of Intuition: In everyday life, intuition serves two main purposes: as a tool for decision-making and as an internal place of rest where one can find peace, home, and safety regardless of external circumstances Please note that the Institute does not endorse or use the term 'third world'. Instead, we encourage the use of more accurate and productive terms such as the Global Majority, the Global South or postcolonial countries. About Barbara Barbara Amrita Barco is a coach, mentor, holistic health practitioner and teacher with more than two decades of experience supporting people around the world to reconnect with themselves and live with greater balance, vitality and purpose.
