Many Christians sense that there must be more to the Christian life than what they’re experiencing. We long for real change, but often aren’t sure how transformation in Christ actually happens.
There is a way forward, but it isn’t found in quick fixes or spiritual life hacks. It’s found in the slow but effective process of intentionally building a life centered around the ways, teachings, and person of Jesus, becoming like Him not just for our own sake, but for the sake of others.
On Spiritually Formed, Brian and Katie Hess talk honestly about that journey and how discipleship to Jesus is shaping their lives, their marriage, and their family.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” In Psalm 46:10, stillness is where we come to know God. But in a noisy world full of distractions, being still is harder than ever.
Join Brian and Katie as they discuss:
Brian’s experience meeting John Mark Comer at his Into the Quiet book release
The connection between stillness, trust, and peace
Finding our identity in the presence of God

What Scripture says about anxiety
How to access the peace of God

You Are What You Say Yes To
On any given day, the choices we make barely move the needle of our spiritual, physical, or emotional health.
Missing your morning Bible reading won't derail your spiritual life.
Skipping the gym won't ruin your physical health.
But when you zoom out and look at your year, the patterns and habits that emerge over a longer period of time will tell a story of the person you're becoming.
Often it's the same excuse for why we let important practices go - "I don't have time to ______" (fill in the blank). Pray. Read. Go to the gym. Eat a home cooked meal.
Rather than saying we don't have time, we need to say "I haven't made it a priority."
It's not until we take ownership of what we're actively saying yes to that we're able to take steps toward making a meaningful change.
