Hosts Jim O'Connell (Sports Kid) and Andi Sharavsky (Drama Kid) bridge the gap between sports fans and theater kids by diving into the most drama-filled sports stories. In each episode of SKDK, Jim brings Andi up to speed on a major sports moment she's never heard of, focusing on the drama. In our bonus episodes, we flip the script, with Jim learning about a new story from the world of theater and drama.
We're taking a break from making Sports Kid / Drama Kid to pursue other projects. For now - find us on YouTube at How Are Animals Real? (https://www.youtube.com/@howareanimalsreal/featured) for our new project.

Who Was Kobe Bryant | #44
Jim tells Andi about the life of basketball legend Kobe Bryant. Before this episode, Andi remembered middle school boys yelling "Kobe" while shooting hoops on the playground, and that Bryant was a star for the LA Lakers. She also remembered he was involved in a trial but didn't know much more than that. In this episode, we try to cover it all: Kobe's youthful beginnings in Italy, his rise to stardom, and his sexual assault trial. Warning: We do discuss the trial and the police reports in detail during this episode.
