Living Water Seen and Set Free_Matt McInnes - John 4_1–26_ 1 November 2026
A Samaritan woman comes to the well at noon, alone, carrying more than an empty jar. Matt unpacks the culture behind John 4 and shows how radical it was for Jesus to ask her for a drink. He explores why sin is a poor substitute for God's grace, and how one ordinary-day encounter with Jesus can set us free.
• Why drawing water at midday, alone, said so much about this woman's life
• Jews and Samaritans: shared roots, different mountains (and a cheeky Kiwi–Aussie comparison)
• How the things we use to fill the gaps in our hearts can rob us of the connection we long for
• From hiding to telling the whole town: what changes when Jesus sees us

Walking Worthy in Unity_Ephesians 4_1–6_Chris Chalmers 25th October 2026
"I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." — Ephesians 4:1–3
Looking ahead to the next 100 years of community and mission, this message works through Ephesians 4:1–6 to show that spiritual fruit follows intentional unity.
Key Themes:
The Fact of Our Unity (vv. 4–6): Rooted in the triune nature of God—one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith. Unity is already formed by God, not something we fabricate.
Truth & Difference (v. 5): Holding the tension between essential dogma, important doctrine, and non-essential opinion—seeking unity in essentials, liberty in non-essentials, and charity in all things.
The Call & Means to Keep It (vv. 2–3): Making every effort through humility (strength under control), gentleness, and long-tempered patience.
The Calling (v. 1): Walking out the covenant of grace together as one body before a watching world.
