242. Tales Of Scum And Villainy: Greedo's Famous Band And Han's Mysterious Companion Jenny! (Part 2)

How did Greedo arrange the most iconic Star Wars band of all time? And who is Jenny, the mysterious woman who shared a kiss with Han Solo in the original cantina footage from the 1977 film? For this year’s Rogue Fun collector’s event, Jason Wasulko created a very special swag project to offer to the more than 200 attendees traveling to Georgia. He challenged seven of his fellow collectors to craft a new tale for a fan-made book. And each chapter would center around one of the recognizable and beloved patrons from the 1977 Star Wars film’s Mos Eisley Cantina scene. The result is the anthology “Tales of Scum and Villainy,” which pays homage to the legendary Star Wars books of the 1990s. Join host David Quinn for part two of the audiobook series, featuring: —Jerry Hancock’s inventive story about Greedo’s assemblage of a very memorable quartet; —And Danny Katzel’s twist-filled take on Jenny, and how she found herself seated next to Han Solo just before he met Luke and Obi-Wan for the first time. This is a return to the Cantina, for all new stories about its beloved patrons. And this is Star Wars: Prototypes and Production! 241. Tales Of Scum And Villainy: The Audiobook Of The Greatest Star Wars Swag Project! (Part 1)

You’ll never view the Cantina characters in the same light again. The stories in the book were fascinating, funny, intense and brilliantly executed. And they captured the essence of what made Star Wars such a phenomenon for generations of fans. To celebrate the Rogue Fun weekend, the writing team wanted to do something very special for you. Together, they brought their stories to life, in their own voices, for a three-part audiobook series for the podcast. Join host David Quinn for part one of this exciting new series, featuring the origins of the project, as well as the behind-the-scenes stories about the writing process by the authors. In this episode, you’ll hear:
 —Jason Wasulko’s take on the infamous duo Ponda Baba and the wildcard Dr. Evazan;
 —Hannah Bennett’s tale about regrets and friendship with Kabe and Muftak; —and David’s story about the bartender Wuher, and the incident that changed the cantina forever. This is storytelling at its finest in George Lucas’ galaxy. And this is Star Wars: Prototypes and Production!
