Oregon State Football Looks To Sustain Momentum Against San Diego State
To start their first conference schedule in the relaunched Pac-12, the Oregon State Beavers picked up a blowout win over Colorado State this past weekend. Braden Atkinson and Jesse Legree continued their impressive run of form and the tight ends also got heavily involved en route to the 56-26 result. Time to review that result and what else worked for JaMarcus Shephard to get his team to a 3-2 record on the year.
This Saturday, the Beavers host a 2-3 San Diego State squad, who are coming off of a dramatic 31-29 win over the Texas State Bobcats. What challenges does Sean Lewis' team present to the Beavers as the Aztecs deal with a mumps outbreak? In addition to our thoughts, you'll hear clips from Shephard's media availability, as well as offensive coordinator Mitch Dahlen and defensive coordinator Mike MacIntyre.
All that, plus a look at the five college football games that Matt Bagley thinks you should watch this weekend.
Thank you for your support of the show, and as always, Go Beavs.

Oregon State Football Returns to a Pac-12 Schedule
After a win over the UTEP Miners in El Paso, the Oregon State Beavers are 2-2 under the direction of JaMarcus Shephard. While many Power Conference programs around the nation likely wouldn't be satisfied with that type of start, it's important to keep perspective on the progress made in Shephard's first several months leading the team.
As your host Matt Bagley looks at that, you'll also hear audio from JaMarcus Shephard's Monday press conference. Oregon State travels to Fort Collins this week for their Pac-12 opener against the Colorado State Rams.
In between all the football talk, we also take some time to discuss the No. 21 Oregon State men's soccer team with our own John Severs, as they get into the home stretch of the 2026 season.
All that, and a look at the five games that you should watch during your college football weekend. Go Beavs.

Beaver Football Looks To Sustain Momentum After First Win of Shephard Era
Oregon State football have their first win under JaMarcus Shephard's direction after defeating the Montana Grizzlies this past Saturday by a score of 52-17.
After that contest, Shephard praised his team's efforts to get their first victory on the board and take heed of the message he has been trying to send since he arrived in Corvallis: that this is only the beginning. This week, you'll hear part of the audio from Shephard's Monday presser and his thoughts on this week's return trip to Texas to face the UTEP Miners in El Paso.
On this week's State of the Beavs, your host Matt Bagley also dives into what we, as a fanbase, learned about this Beaver team from the Montana game and what the next steps should be in order to sustain that momentum moving forward.
All that, plus Bagley's five games to watch in college football this weekend as conference play begins in most of the country. Go Beavs.
