About Status: Untraced

Justin Alexander was a survival expert, a full-time vagabond, and the kind of man who could disappear—if he wanted to. But in 2016, after venturing into India’s remote and unforgiving Parvati Valley, he didn’t come back. Led into the Himalayas by a holy man on a so-called spiritual quest, Justin left behind whispers, half-truths, and a cryptic, haunting message: "If I’m not back by mid-September, don’t look for me." Status: Untraced is a gripping journey into the unknown—a search through treacherous landscapes, whispered legends, and truths that refuse to sit still. Because out there in the wild, the line between lost and gone can be razor thin. New three-part mini-season cover's the 2010 disappearance of 23-year-old Aubrey Sacco, who set off alone into Nepal’s Langtang National Park — and never came back.

[…] I think the time was necessary for me to fully unpack this ridiculous family and all of their shenanigans and put it together in a way that's objective, but also like objective, but also put myself in it. You know, I made a decision later on to like become a character in the show because I am a part of the story. […]
