S2 · E63 The Morning Room: The Room You Didn't Know You Had
For four years, I have started my mornings in much the sameway: coffee, a candle, my journal, my Bible and a big white chair. I called it my morning routine. Then, while searching for a name for the community growing around Take Heart, one word kept coming back to me: morning. And I wondered, maybe it isn’t a routine.
Maybe it’s a room.
In this episode, I’m sharing the story of The Morning Room, the journal entry that first felt like an invitation, and the surprising discovery that a morning room was historically an actual space in a home, designed to receive the early light and prepare for the day. More importantly, we’ll talk about the spiritual room we can create with God before the noisebegins.
Because maybe the point isn’t a perfect morning routine atall.
Maybe it’s access.
A place where the Potter has access to the clay, where God can meet us, shape us, fill us and prepare us for whatever this seasonholds.
Before the world pours into you, what if you let God pour into you first?
