Difficult conversations, everybody has them and almost everybody gets anxious at the thought of them. Yet, those conversations are the stepping stone to being understood within your full totality. Sometimes you have to cry and talk until your throat is sore so that the people you love understand you better. Never over explain but sometimes people need more than they can readily gather from observation.

Imma Say Fuck Cancer Thrice Since That Mf Just Came For My Mama Twice
We’re talking cancer but from the point of view of a family member. Cancer is a wicked mf and I don’t know if I’ve met anyone meaner. Other than my mom and she’s whooping the mess out of that cancers ass. It’s hard to know what to feel and how to feel when you’re not the one fighting the disease. It’s a special guilt and sadness that comes for the person who is there to witness everything but doesn’t know how to be sad because you’re healthy and get to continue life. Cancer is probably the weirdest thing this life has brought forward. So to deal with it three times in one life is beyond logic to me.

For real, I was sitting on the toilet talking and really processing the events of the day before and how life looks so different than when I first began putting my walls up and wearing my armor. When I was younger I always just wanted a space to be me, fully, and not be judged or called dramatic. As a young woman with an emotionally unavailable mother it was hard for me to have that space. But the people I have in my life now…they just don’t too much play about me. They really allow me to just be. I can cry and get emotional and they stay and make sure I am good through it and after. I ain’t never had nothing like that before. It was a journey to get here and I’m learning how to feel safe in what I have always wanted.
