S1 E10 Perimenopause... peri. meno. pause... w. t. f!

This episode is dedicated to everyone out there contending with perimenopause. Yes, this affects the person going through it, and it also affects the people closest to her. You'll hear my stories, who can relate to going to the doctor and feeling dismissed by their reaction? After the reading and research I have done, I share some facts and figures about the process of perimenopause. In particular, I mention the difference between traditional depression and menopausal depression that can occur in perimenopause. Here is the reference for that data I share: Kulkarni et al., 2024, Frontiers in Psychiatry. To find a physician with training in perimenopause, try menopause.org for a directory with The Menopause Society. You don't have to go through this process alone or suffer in silence. We're not doing that anymore! Join us on this multi-part series on this podcast.

S1 E8 -- Susan's Tales: A World Before Social Media, Getting Clear, and Getting More of What We Crave

If you are feeling burnt out and not sure where to start to regain your energy, head over to https://www.rachellevine.co/letter and download a letter I wrote to you for free to help you get started on this journey. Life is too short to keep waiting for the "right" time to prioritize your health and well-being. Start today!

What a conversation! We're talking to Susan Hyatt in today's episode, and we're talking about what it costs to keep up with social media today. And we BOTH remember a time before social media was a part of our lives. Social media can be used to help us connect to folks we wouldn't have known otherwise, but it can also become a dark rabbit hole, seeing unrealistic versions of life that we think we have to meet. Susan describes her own muscling through it experience, and we both share a poignant moment in our lives when things really began to change.

Susan Hyatt is a Master Certified Life Coach, Bestselling Author, and TEDx Speaker. She’s on a mission to ignite 'Big Yes Energy' in women everywhere. With 17 years of coaching experience under her belt, Susan has guided thousands of women through their personal revolutions. She's a crusader against diet culture and a vocal advocate for closing gaps – in wages, confidence, and yes, even orgasms. She is also the creator of BARE - a groundbreaking process that’s inspired women all over the world to stop shrinking their bodies and start expanding their lives. Susan's impactful work has graced national TV, leading podcasts, and top magazines including O: The Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Woman’s World, and Call Her Daddy. Her dedication to women's empowerment and entrepreneurship also earned her a spot as a finalist for the prestigious Athena Award. When she's not hyping up her clients, leading epic retreats, or making a scene, Susan can be found weightlifting, marathon training, globetrotting, or cozying up in her hygge corner. She’s also not shy about advocating for equality at home, regularly reminding her husband about the importance of sharing the "invisible workload," so she can continue to earn big and play big.

https://www.susanhyatt.co https://www.facebook.com/susan.ohyatt https://www.instagram.com/susanhyatt/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/susanehyatt

Cover photo by: Charis Brice
