Tales from the Plantation is a podcast that started off as a WhatsApp group where friends came to complain about the struggles of being a black person in the workplace, and had a continuous stream of stories about microaggressions, off key comments and downright outrageous behaviour. The monthly podcast features discussions on a variety of topics from a primarily black perspective.    We are back again. Harry returns to host the Cultural Archive of Blackness with Nezzy, Tunde and special guest Viv! This episode we're sweating through a London heatwave while wrestling with one of the biggest questions in the climate conversation: that the climate crisis is a problem of individual consumer choice. We explore why the burden of carbon responsibility keeps falling heaviest on those with the least capacity to bear it, while the 1% continues to jet-set and launch rockets into the stratosphere. We also wade through the political chaos of a resigning Prime Minister, the apparent coronation of Reform as the "only alternative," and ask whether watching institutions fail in real time actually frees us from the guilt of our own carbon footprint. In lighter moments, we celebrate the African and Caribbean nations in the World Cup and what it means to support teams that represent us.

We also talk about THAT Heinz advert and the impact of the lack of Diversity, and the Grammys and the reactions to seeing Beyonce finally win AOTY.
