#90 石井岳龍、監督生活50周年～誰にも撮れない映画②
映画監督 石井岳龍。 1957年福岡県福岡市出身。 彼の当時の名前、石井聰亙が脚光を浴びたのは、 博多の名門高校を舞台に、受験地獄の中で過剰な受験ストレスを抱えた生徒がライフル銃を手に起こした反乱を描いた1976年の8mm映画「高校大パニック」でした。 世間にとてつもない衝撃を与えたこの作品は、まさに石井監督が初めて製作した映画でした。 その後も日大芸術学部在学中に作品を発表し続け、自主製作映画界の旗手として注目され続ける中で、 1980年公開の長編映画「狂い咲きサンダーロード」を撮ります。 これは大学生が作ったインディーズムービーにも関わらず、大手映画会社によって買い付けられ、全国公開されました。 幻の街「サンダーロード」を舞台に、暴走族や政治結社に反抗する若者の戦いを暴走族やロックとバイオレンスによって画面に叩きつけた、今はもはや伝説の作品。 その２年後、パンクなどのロックミュージシャンが多数出演し近未来のディストピアで繰り広げられる若者たちの戦いを描いた「爆裂都市 BURST CITY」は 映画がどこまで面白くなるのかを突き詰めたかった石井監督。 もはや台本が意味を持たない撮影となり、現場は大混乱。しかも編集が間に合わず、監督曰く「未完成のまま公開」されたのです。 その後のキャリアの中で10年間新作を撮れない経験をするなど波乱万丈の監督人生を送りますが、 それでも新作を発表するたびに、唯一無二の映画作家として絶えず注目を浴び続けてきました。 最新作は2024年公開の「箱男」。 あれから2年。今年、石井岳龍監督は監督生活50周年を迎えました。 今回は1982年の映画『爆裂都市 BURST CITY』での挫折と、その先たどった道を語っていただきます。 決定!!!泉谷しげる×石井岳龍 石井監督が泉谷しげるのライブ映画を監督!! http://www.forlife.co.jp/artist/fl00005/
