Mai 2025<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> PlayTalk for Future: Transformation für ein Leben im Einklang mit der Natur. Mit Yves Zinngrebe (IPBES)<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Vor unseren Augen schwindet die Natur und die biologische Vielfalt. Viele Ursachen lassen sich dafür anführen: Zerstörung von Lebensräumen durch Landwirtschaft und Verstädterung, Überdüngung der Gewässer, Vergiftung durch Plastik und gefährliche Chemikalien, die zunehmende Erhitzung der Atmosphäre und so weiter. Doch was liegt all dem zugrunde? Und warum ist transformativer Wandel notwendig und wie kann er gelingen?<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Der „Weltbiodiversitätsrat“ <a href="https://www.ipbes.net/">IPBES</a> nennt als „grundlegende Ursachen für den Verlust der biologischen Vielfalt und den Niedergang der Natur“:<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> * die Trennung der Menschen von der Natur und die Herrschaft von Menschen über die Natur und über andere Menschen,<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> * die ungleiche Konzentration von Macht und Reichtum<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> * und die Priorisierung kurzfristiger individueller und materieller Gewinne .<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Das ist sozusagen die Quintessenz des aktuellen IPBES Berichts <a href="https://www.ipbes.net/transformative-change-assessment">Transformative Change</a>. („Thematische Bewertung der zugrundeliegenden Ursachen des Biodiversitätsverlusts und der Determinanten transformativer Veränderungen sowie der Optionen zur Verwirklichung der Vision für die Biodiversität 2050“)<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 101 Wissenschaftler:innen aus 43 Ländern haben für diesen Bericht in dreijähriger Arbeit über 7.000 wissenschaftliche Quellen ausgewertet.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Einer von ihnen ist Dr. Yves Zinngrebe vom Helmholtz-Zentrum für Umweltforschung. Seine Expertise liegt im Bereich von Politikintegration, Multi-level Governance, Planungsprozessen und Implementierung mit Fokus auf Biodiversität und nachhaltige Landnutzung. Er ist Coordinating Lead Author von <a href="https://www.iges.or.jp/en/pub/ipbes-transformative-change-assessment-chapter-5/en">Kapitel 5</a> über transformative Strategien.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Der Bericht „Transformative Change“ fordert einen gesamtgesellschaftlichen Ansatz zur Bewältigung der Biodiversitätskrise und für das Erreichen der Vision eines Lebens im Einklang mit der Natur. Als wichtige Aspekte von transformativem Wandel nennt der Bericht Veränderung von ökonomischen, kulturellen, politischen und sozialen Strukturen, Veränderung von persönlichen Werten und Weltsichten, Ermächtigung von derzeit marginalisierten Gruppen, gemeinsames Schaffen von Wissen durch die Zusammenarbeit von Wissenschaftler:innen mit Zivilgesellschaft und indigenen Völkern, und schließlich wissenschaftliche und technische Fortschritte.
