[…] So one report, says that we have historic almost levels of sales tax collection. And the other report weeks later indicate that the reason why many are overriding the tax cap is because of moderating sales tax growth. So on the surface, that's confusing. Which is it? Is the sales tax really up almost 7%, the strongest in three years? Or is moderating sales tax growth part of why local governments across New York are under fiscal pressure. That's what we're gonna explore here in this episode today, so stay with me. We have a lot of good information. We're gonna get through a lot of kind of meaty information, but it's important because so many people across the state look at these reports, look at these types of information points that are coming out of Albany, and it's hard to reconcile.
