Everyone has a unique tale to share amidst the hustle and bustle of our busy lives filled with social media, challenges, health concerns, family, education, hobbies, and more. Amidst this chaos, we often overlook the narratives of those around us—friends, colleagues, mail carriers, cashiers, doctors—all with captivating stories worth hearing. Engaging in conversations allows us to exchange perspectives on daily life and the happenings in both our personal spheres and the world.
Welcome back to Talk with M & M.
After almost two years, we are finally back with Season 2, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guest to begin this new chapter.
Our first guest is Dr. Maryam Hosseini-Dehkordi, a physician with more than 30 years of experience in family medicine.
She studied medicine at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and later continued her medical career in the United States. Today, she is almost retired and lives in California with her husband, who is also a retired physician.
But this episode is not just about medicine or the title of “Doctor.”
It is about the woman behind that title.
Dr. Maryam takes us back through different chapters of her life—from practicing medicine during the difficult years of war, to building a new life and career in America, caring for generations of patients, and experiencing the changes, challenges, and lessons that come with a lifetime in medicine.
Some stories you read in books.
Others, you are lucky enough to hear directly from the person who lived them.
This is one of those stories.
Welcome to Season 2, Episode 1 of Talk with M & M, with our very special guest, Dr. Maryam Hosseini-Dehkordi.
