S3E3 - Women in Football's Yvonne Harrison on the future of the women's game
<p>We are delighted to be joined by Women In Football CEO Yvonne Harrison for a chat about her career in sport and how she rose through the ranks of Greater Sport to becoming a national figurehead for women's football.</p><br><p>A graduate of our BA Leisure Management course, Yvonne talks us through what it was like growing up as a big sports fan in Manchester, her dreams about getting involved with the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and how she rose through the ranks from volunteer to CEO at GreaterSport.</p><br><p>We also got Yvonne's thoughts on the current stature of women's football and where the sport needs to go in the coming years.</p><br><p>This is a compelling discussion about how to take advantage of work placements whilst as a student, how to build a career within a sports organisation and how networking is a crucial skills when working with a variety of local partners.</p><br><p>Talking Salford is an official podcast from The University of Salford.
