Why am I NOT okay now that I'm safe?

In this episode, I am talking about something many survivors silently struggle with, feeling “not okay” even after the abuse has ended.

Why do emotions hit harder when you’re finally safe? Why do some days feel strong and hopeful, and others feel heavy and exhausting?

Healing is not linear. Trauma doesn’t just disappear because the danger is gone. You are healing. And both strength and softness can exist at the same time.

Talks with Miah. Encouraging, empowering, and supporting survivors of domestic abuse and violence.
