Yoo, if you're reading this, that means you've decided to listen to TalkwithMiMaH and I'm grateful for that.
Basically, I talk about Humans/Whatever There's to them. Also talking about self discovery and how to better relate with people.
Thank you all and Welcome to My Space.
We’re often taught that the path is simple: go to school, get good grades, graduate, and figure out the rest along the way.But what happens when you actually graduate and realise that the world waiting for you doesn’t quite work the way you were prepared for?
In this episode, we sit down with Jessica Ohaka to talk about her journey from getting involved in NGO work at just 16 to building R-WEF—and the experiences that made her realise there were bigger problems worth solving. We talk about the realities behind building something from the ground up: the exciting moments, the pressure, the difficult days, and what it meant to see the first cohort of R-WEF through to graduation. But beyond Jessica’s story, this conversation opens up a much bigger discussion about young Nigerians and the transition from education into adulthood.
Are the systems we’ve been taught to follow still serving us? What happens when the traditional definitions of success no longer reflect the realities young people are facing? And what do we actually need to thrive after the classroomFrom purpose and pressure to outdated systems and the realities of becoming an adult in Nigeria, this episode is a conversation about what happens after the grades stop counting.Because education may prepare you to pass the test. But life asks a very different set of questions
There’s is a whole world of growth that happens beyond the grades..

TOMATO ADULT
“How’s your New Year’s resolution going!?”
That was the thought in my head when I started the thought process for this episode. Questions like, “What did you do with your year?”, “What have you done with your life?” and the likes of it.During the course of the conversation, I realized that asking questions like this is what has made us all measure our value, our worth and whatnot by what we can do, our LinkedIn profiles and our connections.
This conversation taught me that we could be better and be kinder to ourselves regardless of what we’re currently doing. What’s most important is that we are constantly trying to be better every day. Also, like Fattah said, as creatives, we need to learn to fall in love with what we do so the world doesn’t take away the joy in it. We also need to learn to create with the knowledge that not everyone is viewing from our lens.
I hope you listen to this episode and get all of the things we were trying to say.
Remember, I’m the Tomato Adult. I dropped out of this journey of “adulting” already, but who says I still can’t drop my two cents? 😌

Strong Suits
Money can rob you of the opportunity to be a great friend, but it doesn’t have to rob you of the ability to be a good one. We’ve always tied showing up and being present to grand gestures and monetary value, but sometimes we forget how heavy the little things can feel when they’re done at the right time.
In regular TalkWithMiMaH style, we diversified and talked about a whole bunch of other things, but just like Gibbi said in the episode, knowing yourself and being an independent thinker is a step in the right direction to being a good friend, partner, sibling, son or daughter. We’ve got to learn these things for ourselves. Learn to separate our experiences and relationship dynamics from what we see online. That way, we make the load of being a good friend—and all the other roles we carry—a little lighter.
All I’m saying, in essence, is that I hope you listen to this episode and understand exactly what we were trying to say. And if you’re already good in one of the aspects we talked about, it doesn’t hurt to be better in another.
Regardless, listen and share! ❤️
