Tanner Vaughan & Friends is a front porch for the soul—where real conversations meet real people. Each episode, Tanner sits down with Texas-based leaders, creatives, and changemakers to dive into stories of resilience, purpose, and the winding paths that shape us. It’s about life’s highs, lows, and everything in between—told with heart, humor, and a whole lot of wisdom.
Amongst the men in my life that I admire, there’s a handful of common traits I see across most of them. One of these common traits is that they own their own bullshit. I realize that’s a dirty word in some circles, but if you know what I mean by using that phrase, you’ll like this conversation with Jason Bronstad. Jason is a CEO who is driven to grow the business he oversees in Austin Texas, MALK Organics. He’s equally driven to grow closer to his family and to his creator. Jason is radically candid about his own bullshit, which you’ll hear throughout this conversation. He’s is a man of faith, but who has questioned his own upbringing in the church and he lets that experience inform his approach with his own family. Jason is thoughtful, he pushes himself hard, and he’s willing to be authentic at a time where brand seemingly matters more than bona fides. I’m glad I know him. This is Jason Bronstad.

TVAF 48 James Cavenaugh Part 2
James Cavenaugh has been here before. . . In our previous podcast visit I called us “unlikely friends”, but James and I clarified that in this visit in a way that explains why I care for James so much. You’ll hear that at the onset of this conversation. James is good people, and I feel fortunate to have him in my life. One thing to note: This episode is audio-only because those are easier to coordinate amidst busy schedules. if you need to see what James looks like (or if you’d like to hear our first conversation), refer to episode 14 of this podcast. This is my conversation with James Cavenaugh.

TVAF 47 Zack Ezer
You ever been introduced to “a friend of a friend”, and had it go well? I’ve been introduced to dozens and dozens of people with the promise that “you two will hit it off”. only to realize soon after meeting the person that I have literally nothing in common with them. Those are awkward, and I’ve started giving disclaimers before these intros that I’m not always the easiest guy to get along with. I do have a handful of examples of a cold intro going very well, many of which I’ve done podcasts with in the past. Today’s guest is Zack Ezer, and he is one of those examples. Zack is a Texan, a family man, a man of faith and of strong convictions. I expect this won’t be the last time we visit. I hope you’ll enjoy this first conversation with Zack Ezer.
