#194 - Dad hours, oras na ni tatay
May oras ang mga tatay na parang tayo lang ang gising.
Tahimik na ang bahay. Tulog na ang mga bata. Tapos na ang trabaho, hugasin, bills, hatid-sundo, at lahat ng responsibilidad para sa araw na ’yon.
Ito ang Dad Hours.
Sa episode na ito ng Tatayhood, pag-uusapan natin kung bakit maraming tatay ang nagpupuyat kahit pagod na pagod na—naglalaro, nanonood, nagso-scroll, nagkakape, nag-aayos ng kung anu-ano, o simpleng nakaupo lang sa katahimikan.
Katamaran ba ito? Revenge bedtime procrastination? O ito lang talaga ang oras na pakiramdam natin ay atin?
Pag-uusapan din natin ang guilt ng paglalaan ng oras para sa sarili, hobbies pagkatapos maging tatay, pagkawala ng “me time,” at kung bakit minsan, alas-dose ng gabi lang natin ulit nararamdaman na hindi lang tayo empleyado, asawa, provider, driver, taga-ayos ng gripo, at tatay.
Because sometimes, Dad Hours isn't about staying up late.
