Tattoos and Toddlers ep73: Resilience with Jena, BEYOND belief!

Join Jen Sulak of Weirdo Weddings Photography as we talk Entrepreneurship, Small Business, Wedding Industry talks as well as Parenting from 0-8+ years old (currently) and Tattoos. In the life of a business owner, we don't stop thinking (and running) our businesses once we become parents. We start the art of integrating our moments together in one happy-go-lucky-wild-ride-I'm-in-it for the long haul.

DISCLAIMER: Her story involves Addiction, DV, Pet Loss, Loss of Partner to Su!c!de and a Traumatic Brain Injury Be advised if any of these trigger you.

Join me in welcoming Jena to the podcast! Jena has walked through many things that have caused her to lean into Resilience and what that means for her and many others out there. We have a great conversation around her life story that has led her up to this point and what it was like to recover (for a full year) on her health and wellness after a TBI.

To see more about Jena:

*Jena's Story: I didn’t learn resilience just from a textbook. I learned it by living through pain and hardships I never imagined I could survive, especially when they kept coming relentlessly. I've experienced the heartbreak of domestic violence, the quiet grief of family estrangement, the mental and physical exhaustion of care giving through mental illness, and the devastation of divorce. I’ve loved someone through addiction—and then had to survive the aftermath of his tragic suicide.I’ve endured a traumatic brain injury that left me relearning how to walk and talk, take care of myself, drive, and every daily task. Then I did the same for my professional life, only to face chronic health issues, repeated home losses (repeat water damage in different homes), financial collapse, and the soul-wrenching grief of losing my beloved service dog—on the same day I had major surgery. And still, I rise.Over and over again, I’ve chosen to rebuild, not just survive. Each chapter brought me closer to the version of myself that is grounded, strong, and deeply aligned with my purpose. I have lived my life with resiliency.

*Jena as a Keynote Speaker on Resilience:

When challenges threaten performance, morale, and well-being, resilience isn’t optional—it’s essential. As a resilience keynote speaker, I don’t just motivate for an hour—I move audiences toward lasting change. Whether I’m speaking to a room full of executives navigating market uncertainty, high-achieving women ready to reclaim their energy, or wellness and growth-minded professionals seeking a deeper sense of purpose, my message is clear: resilience is the key to sustained performance, health, and fulfillment.Through powerful storytelling, science-backed strategies, and real-life lessons from overcoming profound personal and professional challenges, I deliver the depth, energy, and insight you expect from a top resilience keynote speaker. Your audience won’t just feel inspired—they’ll leave equipped and motivated to take bold, positive action that creates lasting change.

LINKS:

https://www.resiliencebrilliance.co/my-resiliency-journey/

https://www.resiliencebrilliance.co/resilient-leader-jena-taylor/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxg6dPTjeUMMAIN

WEBSITE: https://www.resiliencebrilliance.co/

To book Jen for your wedding photography: weirdoweddings.com
