TC had the pleasure of sitting down with Raj Rajaratnam in the summer of 2025 at his family office in Midtown Manhattan to reflect on his rise, fall, and the lessons learned along the way.
From building Galleon Group from the ground up into a $7B hedge fund to earning a place on Forbes’ richest list, Raj’s story is one of ambition, risk, and resilience. After serving 7.5 years in prison for insider trading — a conviction he has consistently maintained his innocence against — Raj reflects candidly on success, family, trust, and the wisdom he hopes to share with the next generation.
