So pull up a chair, pour yourself something strong, and join us for the kind of conversations that actually matter. We’re not just sipping tea—we’re spilling it, healing through it, and changing the world one ...

Emotional Labor & the Art of Keeping the Peace

Are you always the one checking in, keeping the peace, noticing when something’s off, but rarely getting the same in return? You’re not imagining it. You might be carrying the emotional labor in your relationship. In the second episode of the "Can We Talk" miniseries, we take a deep and compassionate look at the invisible work that many of us do to keep our connections afloat. We’ll talk about where emotional labor comes from, how gender roles and early family dynamics shape it, and why it leaves so many people, especially women, exhausted. With listener stories, real-world examples, and tools to begin shifting the balance, this episode is for anyone who’s tired of holding it all together alone.
