About Tea Time with Tox Josh

Welcome to The Tea with Auric B! Where self-help gets drunk, spirituality gets messy, and the truth shows up in stilettos. This is not your Pinterest-perfect, soft-voiced podcast about “finding your center.” Nope. This is raw, hilarious, sometimes offensive, always honest tea...spilled straight into your ears. One week we’re diving deep into trauma, healing, awakenings, and the masks that keep us stuck. The next? We’re talking relationship advice, slut phases, nervous breakdowns, and maybe even deep throats. From shadow work to slutty times, from healing wounds to hexing exes, from nervous system regulation to WTF revelations...nothing is off-limits here! I’m here to disrupt the way you see yourself, awaken you to the bullshit holding you back, spark the transformation you’ve been craving, and remind you that life is meant to be lived in full-blown thriving mode. So if you’re ready to laugh, cry, cringe, and maybe clutch your pearls while your boyfriend writes me a thank-you note, hit play, my dahling. Because this tea? It’s coming in HOT!!! Want more? JAN 1 IS A LIE!

Happy “New Year”… or whatever the hell this is supposed to be. If you’re waking up on January 1 like, “New year, new me, time to slay goals,” but your body feels like a dead iPhone with 5% battery and 58 tabs open… this episode is for you. Because here’s the truth: January 1 is a lie, hunty. It’s a made-up reset date shoved into the dead middle of winter, when nature is literally doing the opposite of hustle. Bears are hibernating. Trees are conserving. Everything is resting, regenerating, and waiting. Yet somehow we’re expected to come out of Q4 like an electrified squirrel at a rave and instantly become the Energizer Bunny. No wonder it fails. In this episode, I break down: • why the “New Year, new you” trap is designed to keep you burnt out • how the calendar shift pulled us out of rhythm with nature and into hustle culture • why your nervous system hates sudden change (and why your resolutions don’t stick) • what you should actually be doing in January (spoiler: slow down and reflect, not punish yourself) • why resting is not laziness, it’s strategy And if you’re ready to do this differently, I made something to walk you through it step-by-step. Want the blueprint for January? My course Best Year Yet is $11 and it’s the easiest investment you’ll make in yourself this year. No excuses. It teaches you exactly what to do in January so you stop repeating the same cycle and actually build a year you can sustain. Get it here: https://www.theauricb.com/bestyearyet Now go pour your tea, deepthroat those Oreos if you must, and let your nervous system unclench. January is not the time to force a new life. It’s the time to rest, reflect, and get ready to slay when nature actually says “go.” Come sip more tea with Auric: 🩷 Watch, Like, & Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheAuricB 🌈 Follow the chaos, truth bombs + magic on Instagram @theauricb 🧪 Explore the world of personal alchemy at theauricb.com 💌 Get on the inside list: https://theauricb.myflodesk.com/emailsignup 🎙️ Binge more episodes of The Tea with Auric B — wherever you get your podcasts

   Rest IS the Work

In today’s episode, I’m getting brutally honest about something most of us never admit out loud — what happens when you finally give yourself permission to rest… and your nervous system absolutely refuses to let you. This wasn’t the soft, spiritual, self-care era I imagined. No meditation. No yoga. No breathwork. Just me, staring at the ceiling like, “Are you kidding me? This is my healing era?” Instead of resting, I defaulted straight back into survival mode — building, producing, creating, filling every empty space with work… even during a period that was supposed to be dedicated solely to taking care of myself. And guess what? That doesn’t mean I failed. It means I’m deconditioning a lifetime of being in “go mode.” In this episode, I’m sharing the truth about what happens when you stop running after so many years of hustle — the discomfort, the withdrawals, the guilt, the clarity, and the surprising ways healing actually begins to unfold. If you’ve ever wondered why rest feels unsafe… why slowing down feels impossible… or why taking time off turns into a spiral instead of serenity… You’re not broken — you’re human. And you’re not alone. This is my honest, unfiltered breakdown of what healing really looks like behind the scenes… with the hope that my journey helps you feel seen, validated, and gentler with yourself along the way. Tune in, take a breath, and let yourself be human with me. Permission to Pause

Today’s episode is a love letter to every creator, healer, entrepreneur, and chronically overachieving human who thinks they have to grind 24/7 to matter. Let me say it louder: If you have to force it, it’s probably shit. (Just like a fart. Yes, we went there.) This week, I’m breaking down the truth about creative burnout, why rest is actually part of the work, and how slowing down rewires your nervous system out of survival mode and back into flow. No hustle. No guilt. No “I should be doing more.” Just permission to breathe. We’re talking: • why forcing content never creates magic • how to honor the seasons of your creativity • ways to get out of the slump without self-abuse • the energetic cost of always being “on” • and how EASY (and free!) it is to support creators you love If you’re tired, overwhelmed, overthinking everything, or just feeling like your creativity needs a nap and a snack… this one’s for you. Take the pressure off. Take the pause. Let your magic catch up to you.
