TikTok Shop komt in juni naar Nederland
<p><strong>TikTok Shop is vanaf 15 juni ook beschikbaar in Nederland. Daarmee kunnen de miljoenen Nederlandse gebruikers van TikTok met één druk op de knop producten kopen die ze tijdens het kijken van filmpjes tegenkomen. De Consumentenbond is bang dat vooral jongeren impulsaankopen gaan doen en daardoor in de schulden belanden, hoewel TikTok stelt dat alleen gebruikers van 18 jaar en ouder toegang krijgen tot de functie. Niels Kooloos vertelt erover in deze Tech Update.</strong></p> <p>Volgens Ningxin Wu, die mede verantwoordelijk is voor de uitrol van TikTok Shop in Nederland, zijn de zorgen om impulsaankopen en verslaving onnodig. 'TikTok Shop gaat mijn gedrag niet veranderen, het maakt de ervaring frictielozer, maar het verandert niet hoe ik mijn keuzes maak', zegt ze tegen BNR.</p> <p>Desondanks maakt ook de Europese Commissie zich zorgen om het verslavende algoritme en het ontwerp van TikTok. Eerder dit jaar concludeerde de Commissie dat TikTok de Digital Services Act (DSA) overtreedt en met oplossingen moet komen.</p> <p>Ook meerdere internationale onderzoeken concluderen dat gebruikers van TikTok Shop achteraf vaak spijt hebben van hun aankopen.</p><p>See <a href="https://omnystudio.com/listener">omnystudio.com/listener</a> for privacy information.</p>

Spanje en Duitsland willen EU-breed verbod op apparatuur Huawei
<p><strong>Spanje en Duitsland zien een totaalverbod in de Europese Unie op telecomapparatuur van Huawei niet zitten, terwijl de Europese Commissie dat juist wel wil. Dat melden twee ingewijden aan persbureau Bloomberg. Niels Kooloos vertelt erover in deze Tech Update.</strong></p> <p>Volgens de ingewijden zijn de twee landen bang dat een EU-breed verbod op Huawei-apparatuur kan leiden tot een reactie van China. Nu is het nog zo dat de Europese Commissie lidstaten er alleen op aandringt om de apparatuur van Huawei niet meer te gebruiken in de telecomnetwerken. Tot nu toe hebben elf lidstaten daarnaar geluisterd, waaronder Nederland en Duitsland.</p> <p>De Europese Commissie is bang dat er achterdeurtjes in de apparatuur van Huawei zitten die door China gebruikt kunnen worden om te spioneren.
