[번외편] 2020년 노벨화학상 수상자 Jennifer Doudna와의 일화 소개 - GenEdit CEO 이근우박사 와 함께한 CRISPR/Cas9 이야기
<p>2020년 노벨 화학상 수상자는 유전자 가위로 불려지는 CRIPSR/Cas9 기술을 개발한 공로를 인정 받은 UC Berkeley의 Jennifer Doudna 교수님과 Max Planck Institute의 Emmanuelle Charpentier 교수님.</p> <p>이에 대해 UC Berkeley와 UC San Francisco의 Joint Ph.D. Program인 Bioengineering 전공 박사과정 대학원생으로써 함께 공동연구를 수행하며 CRISPR/Cas9 기술을 기반으로 유전자 가위 전달체를 개발하다 결국 창업에까지 이른, GenEdit사의 CEO이자 co-founder로서 회사를 이끌고 계신 이근우 박사님을 모시고 여러 이야기를 나누어 보았습니다.</p> <p>이 외에도 이근우 박사님은 Sillicon Valley의 자랑스러운 한국인 CEO로 여러 매체와 인터뷰 등에서도 활발히 자신의 경험을 나누어 주고 계신데요. 다시 한 번 바쁜 와중에 2020년 노벨 화학상 수상자인 Jennifer Doudna 교수님과의 개인적인 사연 및 공동연구에 관련된 일화를 소개해 주신 이근우 박사님께 감사 드립니다. 제가 이 날 목이 많이 안 좋았는데, 원활하게 인터뷰를 이끌어 주신 강박님께도 감사 드리구요. </p> <p><br></p> <p>궁금한 점은 댓글이나 테크강정 이메일(techgangjeong@gmail.com)을 통해 문의 주세요.</p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p>
