This week – my home that I raised my kids in Arizona has officially sold and feel like I’m living in someone else’s home. With almost everyone moving out and in transition – I am spending many nights alone and find that I am losing discipline without other people to serve and take care of. Diving into music and business is my distraction from the impending international move to Copenhagen. I am also feeling shame and embarrassment of how the US is handing international affairs and am mentally distancing myself from my identity of a US citizen. The best way I can describe it – I am a child of an abusive parent – and am planning on running away. Being Asian American – I’ve always struggled with my identity – but this is on another level. Techy Tekki Fans ! This last week was a mixture of emotions and new milestones. I’m now 45 days away from relocating from USA to Copenhagen, DK. I have a daughter graduating high school and is going to college to start her new life (without me nearby --- insert cry emoji). Anger and disappointment with a business partner that turned sour and living alone mostly as I pack up the house and put it on the market to sell – that I have loved living in. My life is being fundamentally changed and am grateful that I have music to see me through and this podcast.
