<p>The <a href="https://twitter.com/TennisAndBagels" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Tennis and Bagels Podcast</a> aims to capture the best parts of tennis, from tactics to touching moments and many things in between. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/andrerolembergthoughts/?hl=en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Andre Rolemberg</a> started the show in 2019 and added <a href="https://twitter.com/vanshv2k" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Vansh Vermani</a> — a dynamo in all things tennis statistic related — and <a href="https://twitter.com/tennisnation" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Owen Lewis</a>, a blogger, to the team. As the legendary Big Three head into the twilight of their careers and the WTA approaches a gleaming Golden Age with its plethora of young talent, change is afoot in the tennis world. <p>A Grand Slam can tell us many things. And the Australian Open results still mean a lot - if not more than the other three majors when it comes to clues to how the season will pan out.</p><br><p>Owen and Andre talk about all the players that made their mark at the Australian Open, what they expect from these athletes, and what they believe needs to change. <p>Andre here!</p><br><p>Giving my thoughts on the Australian Open 2025 and what I thought was most noteworthy, like:</p><ul><li>Madison Keys winning her first Grand Slam and whether this will impact the rest of the season (US Open title coming?)</li><li>Aryna Sabalenka's upset, and how she will bounce back to assert her dominance on hard courts and as World No.1</li><li>Iga Swiatek's quest to become a bigger factor on hard courts to be on equal footing with Sabalenka and other hard hitters.</li><li>Coco Gauff and whether she is getting too comfortable winning matches from behind. </li></ul><p><br></p><p>Also some ATP notes:</p><ul><li>Jannik Sinner is No.1 and there's not much else to say about it</li><li>Novak Djokovic is getting old, but he's the GOAT for a reason. </li><li>Carlos Alcaraz: how to win when matches are boring? And he is the true second best player in the world, and will only get better.</li><li>Daniil Medvedev's window is all but closed. Unless something major changes, he will start slipping in the rankings and will not be a factor in big tournaments anymore (sadly)</li><li>Alexander Zverev is never going to win a Grand Slam, and is only winning because of luck. </li></ul><p><br></p><p>That's it!
