Rejection is universal, yet seldom discussed openly. Each episode, hosted by podcaster and professional job seeker, Rebekah Sebastian, explores the most heartbreaking, hilarious, or hellish job rejection stories from job seekers just like you — a reminder that rejection happens to the best of us.
From being ghosted after nailing an audition, to bombing a high stakes interview, listen in as we laugh, cry, and connect through the stories of rejection that shape us. So the next time you get the dreaded “Thank you for your interest” email, consider circling back to this podcast for some much needed solidarity.

Sometimes, rejection is loud and clear. Other times, it’s a little more subtle—like a podcast going quiet for a minute (or a season). In this quick update, Rebekah and Samantha pop in to say hi and share what’s next for Thank You for Your Interest.
Spoiler alert: the show is going back on hiatus. It wasn’t the plan, but like any job search (or life, really), things don’t always go according to schedule.
We talk candidly about why we’re pausing production, what we learned, and how grateful we are for the stories, support, and solidarity we’ve received from both our guests and listeners.
This podcast started during a season of uncertainty—and as our personal and professional lives have shifted, so has our capacity to give the show the time and energy it deserves.
We're not saying goodbye forever, but for now, we're stepping back. We hope you’ll stay connected, because rejection might suck, but you definitely don’t.

The Power of Office Culture | Eric’s Rejection Story
Asking for help is hard, and repeated rejection only deepens the struggle. But in the end, you don’t know what you don’t know—and realizing that can spark new ideas. ( or “can help blaze a new trail” or “can open doors”) etc.
In this episode, we sit down with Eric Silver, a fellow podcaster who found himself in the tech world during the mid-2010s, working for a quirky startup called Poncho. With a cute, weather-centric mascot, Poncho seemed like a perfectly safe place for a creative to thrive—until an unexpected promotion changed the workplace dynamics.
Eric shares his experience navigating office culture, dealing with an unprofessional manager who preferred to go off script, and recognizing red flags in the workplace. Speaking of red flags, Samantha quizzes Rebekah on some of the worst, and they read their latest and greatest listener review.
Eric co- founded Multitude — a podcast collective, where he currently serves as Head of Development. Thank you to Multitude for hosting us for this interview! Check out their slate of shows here.
