You know, writing for me was always a part of, it's really always been a part of my healing journey. but when I was younger when I was a kid and I wrote really just to express myself and you know I grew up in the an urban area and everybody in my neighborhood wanted to be a rapper I wanted to be a rapper so right you know it's like we would always be writing something I always had a notebook or something that I was writing rhymes and lyrics and and but really what I was doing was processing my world I had a really pretty rough childhood. Looking back, I recognize now that it was a space for me to be completely honest with myself when I didn't necessarily have those spaces to verbally express those. […]
