The Christian Past that Wasn’t- and how that affects our Missiology
We move into political territory with this book from Warren Throckmorton. His book covers 7 myths we might have accepted about America’s history (especially if you grew up like me). I found this book interesting as I connect the current Christian nationalist beliefs (and the actual quotes/notes from our founders) to cracks I see in missions and how we talk about America as opposed to other countries. And how we talk about things affects how we treat them. I pray that all of us have a chance to struggle with our own countries’ history- especially those of us involved in missions and thus involved in other countries and their histories. What about you? What do you think? What is your experience with how America’s past was taught to you? How did you look at the history of the countries you served in? How does that affect your missiology?

Family Mission Trips
We are going on a mission trip as a family. It is a bit different as we are visiting friends (that are like family), but this is the first time back as a family since we left in 2020. What are your thoughts of mission trips with younger kids (8 and up)?
