1983! August in the Name of Love Song!
It's 1983. Do your parents know where the heck you are? No way man. Josh was probably in a new wave disco dancing to October Love song and Tyler was probably shining his pointy boots! It was a golden age of music, videos and fashion. 12" singles were our Pokemon, peroxide was our hair colour of choice.
Check out the That TV Sound playlist on Spotify to listen to tunes we chat about.

1982! Summertime on the Ceiling!
Somehow the randoms steered the pod back into 1982! Maybe it was because we still had so much to say about the second best year in music and fashion. Josh and Tyler reminisce about their recent trip to Niagara Falls to see Alison Moyet, Marc Almond and Human League. It included dinner at Denny's and a trip to the merch booth where many shirts were purchased! Keep listening for a brief talk on hats, favourite songs such as Living on the Ceiling, The Look of Love and more!

1990! You can Dance! If you want to!
Josh and Tyler do a U-Turn and end up back in 1990 which is not as bad as it sounds. There will be some reminiscing, some dream producing and or course, dancing. But not really. 1990 was a change of a decade, out with the new wave and in with the dance revolution.

1982! Aileen! C'mon!
82 was a brilliant year and you have to read that with a British accent to get the full effect! It was a year of Dexy's Midnight Runners for Tyler and a lot of Yazoo for Josh.
And don't forget the hair. It really was all about the hair. And the eyeliner. And looking like Adam Ant.
There was a lot to do in 82.
You must have a favourite tune from 82. If so, you know where to go... https://www.speakpipe.com/GenX4LifePodcast

1984! Big Brother is Still Listening!
This week's random drawing took Josh and Tyler all the way back to 1984, the year of George Orwell's delightful tale of love and joy in what looked like 2026... Yes, were were over the quicksand pits but the threat of nuclear bombs lingering kept us dancing with tears in our eyes.
Josh loved some Gary Numan and Tyler loved Blow Monkeys and we both loved some Thompson Twins 12" extended remixes.
So listen in and if you remember a song from 1984, you can also tell us about it right here! https://www.speakpipe.com/GenX4LifePodcast

1990! Enjoy Some Silence!
1990 was the year we had to start adulting for real this time! It was all about jobs and clothes and clubs and records were taking the backseat.
Tyler calls it a transition year and Josh has to agree. Sounds weren't new, our 80's bands were slowing down and the new decade hadn't begun to take off.
Still, we got a world wide tour from Depeche Mode, a new song from The Cramps and the amazing album, Rain Tree Crow from former Japan members.
Gotta ask, what artist really sang to you in 1990? https://www.speakpipe.com/GenX4LifePodcast
