[…] Municipal planners, this is their job, right? In concert with local officials and residents, they spend a lot of time thinking about how to grow communities sustainably. They're thinking, where's the best place to add new housing? Not only where is their infrastructure, but really, where is their capacity? With question seven, this planning goes right out the window. While the ballot initiative does require access to water and sewer, there's no requirements about capacity. So a planner might make a 20 to 30-year master plan with certain areas that are slated for expansion. But with Question 7, that planning unravels completely. […]
