The 4am Club are a group of mothers who want the mysteries of motherhood revealed! As I interview and share stories by moms for moms I hope this podcast will comfort, inspire, encourage, support and hopefully humour you!
What actually happens to your pelvic floor when you have a baby and why do so many of us get to our six-week check-up and assume we’re basically good to go?
In this episode, I chat to Kendra, a biokineticist and movement practitioner, about pelvic health through pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. We talk about what the pelvic floor actually is, how pregnancy affects it regardless of whether you have a natural birth or C-section, and why recovery is often a lot more complicated and takes a lot longer than we realise.
Kendra shares her own experience of pregnancy, a previous coccyx injury, C-section, ectopic pregnancy and abdominal surgery, and how becoming a mom completely changed the way she understands and works with women’s bodies.
We also get practical about where to get help, what a pelvic floor physio actually does (including a heads-up on what that appointment might involve!), breathing and core connection, diastasis recti, leaking, tension, returning to exercise and why “just do more Kegels” isn't necessarily the answer.
Mostly, this is a conversation about knowing our bodies a little better and being a lot more patient with them. Because six weeks postpartum is definitely not the finish line and sometimes even when you do everything “right,” bodies are still bodies and life happens.
If you’re pregnant, postpartum, years out from having babies or starting to think about pelvic health as you get older, there’s so much in this conversation that I genuinely wish more women knew.

Am I a Bad Mom ft Christy
Am I a bad mom?
Why do so many mothers carry the quiet fear that they're getting it wrong?
In this episode, we unpack where that feeling comes from. We chat about postpartum depression, attachment theory, social media, the endless stream of parenting advice, and why having more information than ever before doesn't necessarily make us more confident—it often just makes us more anxious.
We explore how comparison has become part of modern motherhood, why we've stopped trusting our own "mom gut," and how easy it is to believe that every decision will somehow shape our children's future forever.
Along the way, we discuss filtering the noise, finding people you trust, letting go of impossible expectations, and focusing on what actually matters. If you've ever spiralled after reading parenting advice online or wondered whether you're doing enough, this conversation is for you.
Because maybe the goal isn't being the perfect mom. Maybe it's learning to trust yourself again.

Motherhood Without a Village ft. Christy
We're talking about community in motherhood, what it means, why it's so important, and why it can be surprisingly difficult to build.
Between moving, changing life stages, and the realities of raising young children, many of us find ourselves longing for the village we thought we'd have.
In this episode, Christy and I share our experiences of starting over, searching for connection, and learning that community isn't always one perfect group of friends. Sometimes it's built slowly through small, consistent spaces where we feel seen, supported, and a little less alone.
