Podcast Overview

Welcome to The 5 to 9 Job—my journal on growth, failure, and figuring life out. I started this show because I felt this deep need to help people like me…People trying. Failing and rebuilding. The idea was to use the hours between 5pm to 9am to grow. Slowly, my vision expanded and I wanted to do it all, to build a platform to raise others, reflect and share my interests and soon I hit a wall. Now It’s back to the basics; fewer better episodes. Each week, I share a few reflections, conversations, and stories from guests so make sure you don’t miss out on any episode. Welcome to my workshop.

Bet on Yourself — It's the Safest Risk You'll Ever Take

In this episode, we explore a simple but powerful idea: the best bet you can make is on yourself. Life is uncertain, every path carries risk, and there are no guarantees whether you choose safety or ambition.

So if you're going to take a chance, why not invest in the one asset you'll always have—you. We talk about self-investment, personal growth, learning new skills, taking ownership of your decisions, and why success feels different when it's built on your own effort. Because even when things don't go as planned, betting on yourself gives you something valuable: the ability to learn, adapt, and own the outcome.

Inspired by principles found in entrepreneurship, personal development, and the stories of individuals who chose growth over comfort. This episode examines why self-investment—through skills, character, relationships, health, and experience—often provides the greatest long-term return.

"Every path carries risk. The difference is that when you bet on yourself, you gain something regardless of the outcome. You gain experience, wisdom, resilience, and the confidence that comes from knowing you took ownership of your life."

The Most Important Question You'll Ever Ask Yourself

In this episode, we explore one of the most important questions a person can ask: "Why am I doing this?" Whether it's your job, business, relationships, goals, or daily habits, understanding your "why" gives meaning to the effort and direction to the journey.

We discuss how purpose isn't always a single grand discovery, but something that evolves as we grow and experience life. Your why at 20 may not be your why at 30, and that's not failure—it's growth. If you're searching for purpose, clarity, or motivation, this conversation might help you ask better questions and build a life that feels more intentional.

Drawing from ideas found in personal development, philosophy, psychology, and the experiences of people who have built meaningful lives, this episode explores purpose not as a destination, but as an ongoing process of self-discovery and alignment.

"The goal isn't to find one purpose that lasts forever. The goal is to know why you're doing what you're doing today—and have the courage to let that answer evolve as you do."

Live Before It's Too Late: The Three Regrets That Matter Most

In this episode, we explore the powerful lessons from The Top Five Regrets of the Dying by Bronnie Ware. Rather than focusing on all five regrets, we dive into the three that seem most relevant to modern life: not having the courage to live true to yourself, losing touch with meaningful relationships, and not allowing yourself to be happier.

We discuss why so many people spend their lives chasing expectations, success, and security only to realize they neglected what mattered most. This isn't an episode about death—it's an episode about how to live. If you knew your time was limited, what would you start doing differently today?

Inspired by The Top Five Regrets of the Dying by Bronnie Ware, based on her experiences working with

📚 Credit & Reference
