He will be the first President to win non-consecutive terms since Grover Cleveland. He has also won the popular vote, the first time a Republican has done that in 20 years. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>James discusses what went wrong and what fueled President Trump's comeback. 1) The Senate could have impeached Trump after the January 6, 2021 attack; it chose not to do so. 2) The Supreme Court recently ruled that future Presidents are immune from official acts while in office, inviting Trump to do what he pleases; and 3) President Biden erred in leaving the race on August 21st, leaving Vice President Harris to pick up the pieces. She had to simultaneously be the incumbent and the change candidate. </p>
