The Legend of Kara | Episode 98
The pop culture news train doesn't slow down, and your favorite Blerds are back in the booth to break down every major drop from San Diego Comic-Con to the big screen!
This episode is based from parts from the previous episode that I cut and moved around but for this week we kick off in the Four Nations, reacting to the first-look trailer for Avatar: Seven Heavens and diving into a full review of the Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender animated movie. From art style shifts to where the franchise is heading next, we're unpacking it all.
Next, we shift gears to comics and celebrate a massive win for representation: DC's "Next Level" SDCC panel announcements. We discuss the groundbreaking news that Vixen is finally getting her first-ever ongoing solo series (styled to perfection by Stephanie Williams and Khary Randolph), alongside the major returns for Static and Steel.
Then, we transition to trailers and television, breaking down the atmospheric new footage for HBO’s Lanterns series and sharing our quick thoughts on the spine-chilling, horror-tinged Clayface movie trailer.
We wrap up the session with a deep-dive, SPOILER-FILLED discussion on the Supergirl movie. We're talking comic accuracy, cosmic road trips, Krypto, and whether Milly Alcock's big-screen debut hit the mark.

Summer Nerd Special | Episode 97
We kick things off by diving into the newly dropped trailer for Paramount’s Children of Blood and Bone. We unpack the stunning visuals alongside the heavy online controversy, Tomi Adeyemi's public departure from the project, and what this means for high-profile Black book adaptations.
From there, we turn our eyes to the MCU's Hall H presence at San Diego Comic-Con. We react to the unexpected casting news for Black Panther 3, Ryan Gosling stepping up to rev the engine as the MCU's Ghost Rider, and the disappointing news regarding the official cancellation of Blade and Wonder Man Season 2. Plus, we share our unfiltered reactions to the exclusive Avengers: Doomsday trailer footage.
We wrap up this episode with a full, SPOILER-FILLED review of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. We're talking favorite moments, web-slinging action, and where Peter Parker's cinematic future goes from here.
